Bim books appointments in your Webdoc.
The same appointment book, the same caregivers and the same free times you see yourselves. And by default no personal number is spoken aloud on the phone.
The connection in short
Four steps
- 1Register as an integrator in Carasent's integrator portal and create an API client. You get test environment credentials first.
- 2Create a dedicated user in Webdoc for the integration to book as, so the journal's audit trail says VOCA rather than naming a clinician who was not involved.
- 3Open Integrationer in the portal, choose Webdoc, paste the client id and secret and pick the clinic. Caregivers and booking types fill in automatically.
- 4Lay out times in the appointment book as usual, ring your own number, and check that the time Bim took shows up in Webdoc.
What Bim will not do here
We spell this out because it is cheaper for everyone to know up front than to find out with a guest on the phone.
- Bim only sees times you have already opened. Webdoc has no availability search of its own, so the appointment book is the whole answer. If you book entirely ad hoc without opening times in advance, Bim has nothing to offer.
- By default it is a request, not a confirmation. Booking a patient in full needs a personal number, which is health record data, and you switch that on when you want to and when the data processing agreement covers it.
- Webdoc sends us no events. If you move something in Webdoc, Bim still sees it, because free times are read live during every conversation, but we get no notification at the moment it happens.

About this connection
Does the patient have to say their personal number on the phone?
No, not by default. Bim takes a name and a phone number, marks the time in the book and hands over to you to confirm. Full booking with a personal number exists but is off until you switch it on yourselves.
What happens if we have not laid out any times?
Then Bim says there is no free time and offers to put the caller through or take a callback. Bim never invents a time that is not in the book, and could not do so anyway: Webdoc does not tell us when you are open.
Can Bim reach the journal?
No. The integration is built against the booking surface and does not touch journals, documents, notes or invoices. Those parts of the API are not even present in the code.
